I love all the pious on here. Of course there are high standards and rightly so.

Before I qualified I thought - foolishly - that all qualified Solicitors knew a) more than me and b) what they were doing. I later found out how wrong I was. I was never in such a situation as this poor trainee but it beggars belief that, having identified wrongdoing to the regulator, she was hung out to dry. She would not not have been able to confide in her employers. Nor have the confidence to a) confront them; b) give up her job. She has been penalised for doing the right thing.

I for one would willingly contribute to her appeal costs if she cares to set up a just giving page (or something).
