I'm a foreigner. In my youth I was turned down for many jobs because I am a foreigner. But I was damned good and once on the ladder I got to the top of my firm like greased lightning. They weren't crazy and didn't want to lose me. Overperform and you'll get there...if not and your big firm blocks your way to the top, quit. Set up your own firm. Show them that way. If your firm is better value than your old firm, GQs should form a queue at the door.
