I find worrying the number of comments recently posted on this website - presumably from, in the main, solicitors or those working for solicitors' practices - that argue that solicitors who act dishonestly shouldn't be struck off. I appreciate that the solicitors' profession progressively has been devalued of recent years, but if now it is being suggested that being dishonest shouldn't be a bar to being a solicitor, we might as well all remove ourselves from the Roll and start working as estate agents!
