I doubt that a cartoon on YouTube is going to bring about any improvement to the CJS or have the remotest bearing on the evolution of MoJ policy.

So, the LS should focus on those areas where it stands at least some chance of being able to bring about positive changes that might actually benefit it’s members. For example, by lobbying for some downward flexibility in the run-off PII market - for those who are desperate to get out of criminal work but find themselves shackled to practice by the associated exit costs.

Help those who want out to get out and leave those who are brave or stupid enough to stick around with at least some small hope of being able to actually turn a profit.

Truthfully, many defence practitioners working within the CJS have been marginalised and treated with such disdain by the system this last few years - that they don’t give a flying shit whether it can be ‘mended’ or not.

They’d just rather not be there at all.
