I broadly support and agree with the author save for his concluding comment,

“……….Of course, there are costs associated with qualifying into any profession and it must be remembered that the legal profession is, on the whole, well-paid………”

For the fortunate few who gain employment with large firms perhaps they are well paid. However for the majority, outside the City, the profession is not well paid. Those that make most are the providers of courses who continue to create false hopes of the ease with which qualification can be achieved and the rewards available.

I have been qualified for over 30 years and despair as to what is being done to those aspiring to join the profession.
