It is indeed highly offensive as well as idiotic for anyone to try and deny the Holocaust. Of course, we shouldn't forget that in addition to Jewish people, gypsies, dwarves, disabled people and homosexuals were gassed too as well as anyone else that the Nazis didn't like. Equally disturbing was the support the Nazis had, most notably from the Catholic Church as well as from people round the world who were resentful of Jewish people's financial successes.

However, one tribute came from a very unlikely source - Malcolm X. After his second conversion from extremist Islam to orthodox Islam which ultimately cost him his life, he came to respect Jewish people particularly for the fact that despite centuries of persecution, they had never become ashamed of themselves or their religion.

Following the above example, it would be respectful to all the victims and their descendants if people could just stop denying the Holocaust.
