I for one would be happy to chip in some dosh, if Ms Scott wants to crowd fund some financial support for an appeal. It really is about time the poisonous SRA/SDT system was seriously challenged in practical ways, as often as is necessary to achieve the changes that are needed. Effective regulation is required, but it must be good regulation, not the kind of regulation we now have (serving the perceived interests of the regulators rather than the profession and the public they are supposed to be serving). The profession managed to back Mark Lewis to the tune of his fine and costs, so why not see if we can get Ms Scott the justice she deserves (i.e. a lesser penalty that reflects not only her conduct, but also the difficulty of her circumstances and the mitigating effect of her whistle-blowing)?
