Although it is not part of the Terrorism Act if you read the relevant section of the Aviation and Maritime Security Act I think it is an entirely reasonable thing to say that the offence charged is terrorism "related".

The wording of the act clearly envisions terrorism: "by means of any device, substance or weapon" "causes or is likely to cause death or serious personal injury" "endangers ... the safety of persons at the aerodrome."

It also smacks of a politically motivated charging up.
