The fact that nearly two years on, eleven of the deportees have not been removed strongly suggests that they must have had some legitimate grounds for being allowed to remain. If not, surely they would have been put on another flight by now?

And the record of the Home Office hardly inspires confidence in their procedures. Sajid Javid recently admitted that some sixty odd "Windrush" people had been deported in error; consider the consequences of that for sixty odd families ....
