Regarding children understanding what we do, my teenage step daughter was asked about my work at school and apparently gave the answer "pirate"! In my defence, in my preceding career I worked for 11 years in the Merchant Navy, I am a Master Mariner and I still work in the shipping industry. So I suppose her confusion was excusable?
