The problem with lips is they are incompetent. Before legal aid was abolished it wasn't much of a problem but now I see it is. The remedy thereby lies in making available to every person a course in litigation both criminal and civil. This could start at O -Level in school.

Thereby every school leaver would be basically competent to conduct litigation.

For all those who have already left school these courses in civil and criminal litigation should be available at night classes.

That way one could gain a qualification in lip. Problem solved? So I would be Alan Lyle LIP.

And anyone who does not have at least a lip qualification should not be heard except from the witness box in my opinion, where the judge would perforce have to act in an inquisitorial position and give the lip directions in order to manage the proceedings.

The same might go for these McKenzie friend people.

Something has to fill the lacunae from the abolishment of legal aid.
