I think Anonymous at 13:38 makes a very good point. Many off us, especially those of us who have kids that refuse to sleep, nod off from time to time. Its involuntary and I cant see that a fuss needs to be made (as long as your not driving a bus at 70mph!). This should however apply equally, and if a judge gets a bit of informal advice then fine, provided so would anyone else who nods off in court.
