If solicitors generated delays of this magnitude we would quite rightly be apologising and paying compensation for poor service. It is very difficult reaching high professional standards when those on whom we rely are so poor. Land Registry, HMRC, Court systems (civil and criminal) , DWP. There are too few civil servants. My father in law had a heart attack at the weekend and didn't even get into the corridor of the local hospital he sat in the back of one of the ambulances queued up outside in the road. Austerity seems to be with us for ever and we are all getting used to living in a third world society.
