No. I think the point being made is that a "Christian name" is a technical term given to a name announced/recorded in Church at the time of Christening, which may or may not be different to a registered forename (I believe the Royal Family are big into this sort of thing), but either way the Church obviously has its own quirks and rules in this regard.
