We are not irritating bystanders. It is our money. Spent by our regulator. Which is, apparently, in cahoots with politicians.

My understanding of regulating is not 'to hit with big sticks' . It is to uphold standards.

Perhaps the SRA should heed the enormous goodwill generated by solicitors, largely because the overwhelming majority of the profession adheres to very high standards indeed.

Please don't try and teach us to suck eggs.

And show some humility once in a while.
