Here comes the deluge of accident management solicitor-owned agencies charging for every little service. "We instructed an engineer, please pay us £200". "We requested medical records, please pay us £100". "We've taken your client's witness statement for you, please pay us £500". Should keep the lights on at those disdainful whiplash firms for a little while longer before the inevitable collapse into the abyss.

Paying an agency you own to perform services that should ordinarily be performed by the solicitor (or paralegal etc) with conduct of the matter and than recovering those charges outside of the normal cost regime is an abuse of the system and fraud in my view.
