They are "interested persons", as are the social media entities in this case.

I think the issue is that there is a belief that they are "claimants" and "defendants" with potential claims to be made, and this is often not helped by those Firms representing them who have different competing agendas. Lawyers are there to assist the coroner in inquests - they are not their to advance or defend potential claims for their clients - and I have often found that the lawyers forget what hat they are wearing when they are before a coroner.
