A recruitment campaign just closed a month or so ago with 100 prosecutor vacancies. There has also been external recruitment for legal managers including deputy chief crown prosecutors. I wonder how many people will be outraged at this but didn't apply themselves. I'd say personally to see if the defence community reps can get some training in negotiating! Interestingly looking at the details of the pay it is the lowest grade of prosecutor who get the headlined big hike, for most staff it's around 2% with some getting 4% a year for 2 years, but there's very specific reasoning for why those get what they get.
