While I hold a fundamental belief to respect the traditions, religions, culture and laws of other countries I, like most, have my limits. Having travelled a lot of the Middle East in my 20’s, everyone (without exception) that I met was warm, intelligent, generous and courteous – so at odds with their govt.

This action of the Iranian Courts is, presumably, to reinforce the regime’s power over any trace of rebelliousness or non-conformism. But this action just screams weakness to me, and fear that any deviation could be the catalyst of a domino effect leading to massive social-political reforms no unlike the Arab Spring we’ve seen already.
