You do need to inform client of fixed costs. THis is one of the main disputes in the LOC's that JG and other contend. All good and well telling the client that you charge A,B and C insofar as hourly rates...... but you need to tell the client you only receive fixed costs, and you want more. This is why many solicitors are getting hammered. Failing to tell client you want more than you could ever recover from your opponent. Many solicitors have their bill restricted to party/party costs.

Bizarre argument for the claimant, and Mr Bacon is trying to save his, with the ridiculous argument that the 100% SF is needed to continue as a 'business model'.

Who knows where this is going.
