Why anyone in their right minds would want to work in law nowadays is quite beyond me , be it private practise , law centres or in house - but perhaps in house is best if you get cheap share options . I have about four years left to go and that is quite enough for me . Seems to me solicitors have become the villains in one of Moggy`s Vassel states in which the SRA, Estate Agents ,I T , H R, Indemnity Insurers and brokers and PR people extract their dues and we are left with the remainder. The only solicitors I know who are well off are those who invest in other ventures such as property, care homes or shares or who have wealthy parents , spouses and so on .What is the average salary for a provincial solicitor - £40K - absolutely pathetic, given the work and level of responsibility it carries . What a complete mugs game!!!
