For the dining sessions connected with qualification, my understanding is that they are open only to students, Members and Benchers.

Dining and other facilities are open at other times to Members and their guests, be they solicitors or indeed any other inferior specie. I've been a guest for late night drinkies in two Inns, and on neither occasion did anybody ask any of our groups for any kind of identification. I would hazard a guess that anybody who looks the part is unlikely to be prevented from enjoying a subsidised glass of wine in medieval splendour, should they choose to take the risk.
