I don't think my final paragraph was contradictory. I like the decision because I deplore the practices that this chap exercised. But, I do not think the ratio of the decision is correct, thus regardless of whether or not I like the court's decision, to me it seems wrong.

I agree on the rest - the hourly rate is what it is, not what will be allowed on assessment. There is one particular DJ at Stoke (who I am always impressed by) who when dealing with budgets always tells me that on assessment I won't get the rate I am claiming. So be it, but that is for assessment, not the SRA.
