The whole system has been dumbed down with the semi or none qualified routinely working in this area since the crash of 2008. The process has become commoditized and administrative in nature. The government has even talked of a 'property passport'. Anything that is quick and cheap gets the consumer lobby's approval. It comes as no surprise the people who contact me daily especially from 'conveyancing companies' aren't advising their clients. This I suspect is because they lack the knowledge to do so. You are more likely these days to get a conveyancing job if you can type your own emails irrespective of any legal ability/experience and qualifications.
