Mark Heywood, I agree. The trend is increasingly the other side's case handler has not got a clue what he or she has to do. It is specially common when the other party is acting in the sale. Quiet often we have to do more work to get the right documents and information but have to charge the client for the additional time incurred, and these people are handling matters badly at the expense of other practitioners. The worst case we have seen was they did not even know how to deduce title and issue the contract.
