Mr Balchin, your statement and your position is all too typical of British society today. It is a bland, sweeping assertion. You make it without offering any evidential basis for it and, presumably, in the knowledge that there is no evidential basis for it. But despite that, you invite people to accept it as fact. I suggest that you either adduce the evidence to support your assertion or you withdraw it. If you do neither, then people will see you for what you are and value your statement accordingly.
