I would love to work from home, and do so at the weekends, but during the week? I am an experienced solicitor who has worked in virtually every area of law. We are a small firm. Therefore, if anybody is out of the office, I am usually first port of call to deal with clients just dropping in/telephone calls/e-mails. Sounds wonderful, until you're the one left in the office. Jealous? Yes, absolutely. Would love to sit and work at home in my pjs. There is always going to be the need for an actual presence in the office. Not all clients are willing to wait for a call back, or to make an appointment. Until the entire way we conduct legal business changes, bums on seats - as it were - will always be needed.
