Well if the SRA and volume conveyancing providers get their way there will one day be a desert of legal advice on the high street anyway, but never mind , the salaries and pensions of those two august bodies will be protected.Interestingly , branches of estate agents are closing down everywhere , in particular G A . I suspect what happened to conveyancing fees in the 80s is now spreading to estate agents - cut price competition , in particular from on line agents . I did read a lot of agents were being kept alive by solicitors' referral fees received . Think about it . Now is the time to renegotiate referral fee terms!
