Burlow and Spenser were allowed to continue in operation for two years while OISC investigated, despite almost a hundred separate complaints from people whose lives were trashed by these bogus immigration "lawyers". Everything about this outfit was bogus from the start, from the hundreds of spoof online reviews to the "close and effective supervision" supposedly exercised by the Romanian barrister, and these issues were flagged up to OISC, who did …. well, nothing. The individuals concerned have been told they face "inevitable financial penalties" … so no jail time then, and who imagines that the nineteen million pounds of fraudulently charged fees will be recovered?

This is the same OISC that sternly warns of dire consequences for anyone not suitably qualified even filling in on a charitable basis a publicly available Home Office form for a vulnerable person who may be unable to pay for professional assistance on top of the Home Office's huge fees.
