I remember the old adage: just wait until you're 21 and see your premiums drop. I hit 21; premium didn't drop. Same again with people commenting that I'd see the premium reduce at 25 and again at 30; didn't happen. Post-40 though: that's the magic bullet for premiums - the only time I've noticed a significant reduction. I won't be writing home about this alleged £15 reduction though, in fact I doubt many will even notice.
