It would have been more forthcoming of this MP had she made it clear that her opposition to a move to ending the need to blame someone before a divorce was granted is based on religious grounds.

Marriage has serious legal consequences, and entering into it should not be undertaken lightly, but if it does not work out, the ideal separation is one without rancour, which is a good deal more likely if fault is taken out of the initial equation.
