Ms Wistrich is simply wrong that when she says of c0mplainants: "what is not clear is why their past history (including sexual history) should be up for grabs".
As the CPS have pointed out, cross examination on past sexual history is generally not admissible. The judge may allow it only if it has particular relevance to the issue(s) in the case.
It will not help the likelihood of sexual offences being reported, if a solicitor who has victims' interest in mind misrepresents the legal position in this way.
