Great idea. Conveyancing standards are so low because profiteering from the public is seen as acceptable. Rather than securing staff with the very best CVs. Don’t get me started on the ‘pay to enter’ conveyancing 'awards’ too. The public just don’t stand a chance. The worse thing at the moment is all too often when I call another conveyancing firm to exchange contracts, I am met with a voice which leads me to worry for their clients.

Far too many of those in charge of conveyancing teams seem to just take any CV. No care about the public.

But sadly all the Government have done is just issued another Guide in cyberspace, like the rest that so few people know are there. It won’t change anything.

AND:

"The free offer of No Sale No Fee is for those outfits who do not plough enough work in, to have much to write off. " Discuss.

Anon at 6.50 - if the Government have nothing to say to help the property market, they should not say anything.

THE professional body who speak for conveyancers is The Bold Group - obviously. The CA certainly does not.

DC - we expect a minimum 4 weeks for setting up an auction, and 3 weeks to consider an auction pack. Otherwise, we are happy for the client to go to our competitors. We won't price match either, and again, anyone pushing for us to we persuade to go to our competitors.
