5 cases a week. How many court rooms? How many judges? How much paid in court fees? It could be 50 courtrooms each hearing 5 cases per year. What about case management and the various applications such cases involve. Just an application can run into weeks.

Me, I'd look very closely at the costs/benefit to England and Wales. I do not equate fees paid to lawyers, and taxes paid by lawyers, as a good enough reason for the overall system to creak.
