This is a tad disingenuous in my view.

The report itself separates out Magistrates, County and Crown courts and tribunals. How does it provide any confidence about journey times to say that there is a Crown Court within 15 miles of a County Court?

At the extreme you could have a cluster of courts in one town, all within 5 miles of each other, with the next cluster 100 miles away, all of which would again be within 5 miles of each other.

What's perhaps more telling is that the total is 332 venues, so 28 or 8.5% are more than 15 miles of any other court or tribunal

The existing data, before any further closures, says only 95% of the population can get to Magistrates or County Courts before 9.30, dropping to 92% for Crown and 93% for tribunals.
