Quote "using public transport if necessary" and "The ministry says it will conduct 'real-world' travel time assessments".............. I travel a lot from the East Midlands. I can be in London in hour. At my destination court in London in 1 hour 30 minutes. I can be in Newcastle in 1 hour 20 minutes. Sheffield in an hour and Manchester in less than 2 hours. So where is the line for court closures going to be drawn? It seems to me that 2.5 hours throws a huge number of courts into the potential closure pile.
