I agree with Lord Justice Coulson. You can't have different rules for different 'types' of people.

What happens when people run out of funding and can no longer afford representation, or Legal Aid is cancelled or even granted or, as Lord Justice Coulson says "particularly if one party is represented and the other is not, and the parties are working under different principles."

Being a Litigant in Person is a lawful option many people choose to take for any number of reasons.

Sadly though, in reality, LiP's are treated differently and often taken advantage of.
