Dear Anon 6.09 most probably because they were mainly the aforementioned Swiss Army knives and other pocket tools carried by law abiding citizens as opposed to chainsaw wielding phychopaths with a sharpened screw driver gaffer taped to their inner thigh. Only this weekend I attended an open garden event with tea and cakes to discover half way round I had a Swiss Army knife in my pocket. Nobody was hurt. Huge relief. Still the headlines could read ‘man in his late fifties arrested for carrying a knife whilst accessing a private garden’ .
