I had a chap pencil-rolled between a waste contractor's vehicle and the wall of a tip. The denial came in accompanied by training records, which included what struck me as being very pertinent training concerning, inter alia, not walking between a vehicle and the wall of a tip. On its face, it all looked rather damning. I asked the client to come in for a chat.

His first response was to become quite irate that his purported signature was not even a bad copy of the real thing. He delivered the coup de grace though when he was able to prove by way of bank records and other documents that on the day he was apparently receiving training by a clairvoyant in Manchester, he was actually on holiday with his family in Florida.
