Camilla Haggith

Taylor Walton Solicitors has appointed senior associate Camilla Haggith in its private client team in St Albans.

Haggith, who has previously worked at BP Collins and a central London firm with an international client base, specialises in estate planning, assisting clients including those with high-net-worth, guiding them through legal issues relating to marriage, cohabitation, divorce, domicile issues, and the establishment of trusts to protect assets for vulnerable beneficiaries.

Haggith commented: 'It’s good to be based back in Hertfordshire and I’m looking forward to working with clients on a range of private client legal issues. The last couple of years has seen a number of changes especially to tax policy, which means many families with earned and generational wealth have been reviewing and changing how they plan for the future and leave wealth to loved ones. This coupled with an increase in blended families sees many clients keen to put in place provisions to protect the succession of their wealth. There has been a significant increase in the number of legal claims against estates, so it is important to think very carefully about how your Will is drafted.'

Steven Hamilton, partner and head of wills, IHT, trusts & probate at Taylor Walton Solicitors, added: 'I am delighted to welcome Camilla to the team. She brings with her a wealth of experience in estate planning, Wills, trusts, inheritance tax and succession planning, together with particular expertise in advising individuals and families with more complex and multi-generational affairs.'
