Obiter is accustomed to law firms announcing sporting partnerships, so the announcement that Hamlins has been appointed the official legal partner to the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment is welcome. The north London-based orchestra specialises in music composed between the 17th and 19th centuries, playing on period instruments or replicas.

Last year, the orchestra premièred Breaking Bach, a production that combined street dance with Bach’s orchestral music.

Hamlins managing partner Matthew Pryke said: ‘We are very proud to partner with the OAE. Its enthusiasm and commitment to bringing classical music to new audiences through a completely unique and inclusive approach is inspiring.’
