Jewish Blind & Disabled (JBD) supports Jewish adults aged 18+ living with physical disabilities or sight loss to live independently, with dignity and choice. Through seven, soon to be eight, accessible housing developments across London, Hertfordshire and Essex, alongside a growing range of community-based services, JBD helps people live rich, full lives.
JBD’s adapted apartments remove many of the barriers people can face when living in unsuitable housing. Tenants benefit from specially designed homes, a welcoming Jewish community and 24/7 onsite support, providing reassurance that help is always available when needed.
For those who wish to remain in their own homes, JBD provides occupational therapy, sight loss support and peer support groups, helping people stay independent while staying connected to their community.
