Global legal practice, Norton Rose Fulbright, has appointed Elisabeth Bremner to its dispute resolution and litigation practice.

Elisabeth specialises in regulatory investigations in the financial services sector. She has experience acting in a broad range of disputes involving financial institutions, a number of which have been multi-jurisdictional.

Elisabeth’s experience includes investigating allegations of insider dealing, market abuse and trader mis-marking in the investment banking and hedge fund sectors. Within the retail industry she has investigated allegations of fraud, sanctions breaches, misselling and complaints mishandling.

Deirdre Walker, head of dispute resolution and litigation for Europe, Middle East and Asia comments: ‘Our litigation team continues to grow with the appointment of Elisabeth and recent hires including Kirsty Hick. In addition, through our recent combination we have expanded our global offering to include over 1,000 dispute resolution lawyers.

‘Financial regulation is an increasingly important area of our practice. In recent years, prosecutors and regulatory bodies have been handed greater powers with increasing sanctions available against both corporate bodies and individuals. Issues relating to regulatory compliance and governance are of major importance to our clients and Elisabeth’s arrival will add further depth to our team to support our clients in this area.’

Elisabeth Bremner comments: ‘I am delighted to be joining Norton Rose Fulbright. I look forward to working with the team and contributing to their continued success.’
