Magic circle firm Linklaters has formed a relationship with one of Saudi Arabia’s largest law firms, it has emerged.

Under the alliance with Abdulaziz AlGasim, which has over 30 lawyers, the firms will work closely to support their clients on Saudi Arabian and international transactions.

The initiative has been developed as part of Adbulaziz AlGasim’s strategy to enhance its international offering. The firm has particular expertise in Islamic finance, regulatory work and litigation.

The firm’s managing partner Monaji Zamakhchary said: ‘We are pleased to be working with Linklaters and to have enhanced our international offering through our arrangement with one of the world’s leading global law firms.’

Linklaters is one of the leading international firms in the Saudi Arabian market. Its Middle East practice has offices in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Recent transactions of note include advising the lenders on the financing for the $14bn SATORP Refinery, advising the SRO on the $10bn Haramain High Speed Rail Project, and advising the lenders on the financing for the $1.5bn Madinah Airport Extension.
