Liverpool civil litigation specialists CEL Solicitors moves into new premises.

Readers may be vaguely aware of  super-cool tech companies which look more like a playground than a workplace. We scoff at such fripperies but secretly wish we could have a game of darts with our tea break or a lunchtime game of air hockey.

So we look on just a little enviously at the new office space of Liverpool civil litigation specialists CEL Solicitors.

The new base, taking the entire 12th floor of Twenty Chapel Street from next month, comes complete with an ‘amphitheatre’ designed for team meetings and social events, and break-out areas fitted with table football, pool, lounge space with bean bags and a ‘think swing’.

The move signals a significant step for the firm, which has 30 staff currently but is taking enough space for almost 90. This is following a five-fold increase in turnover during the past 12 months.

Director Jessica Hampson said: ‘At the heart of our ethos is putting people before profits – it underpins everything we do, from looking after our clients to ensuring our staff are happy at work, and our new office space completely reflects this.’

Obiter is a pretty decent pool player, so if the CEL lot ever fancy a game, just give us a call and we’ll be right there.
