After almost 40 years, London entertainment firm Russells last week upped sticks from Soho and moved to an even more appropriate location. Art deco landmark Yalding House, in Great Portland Street, is the original home of BBC Music, including the Radio 1 Studios. Its interior ‘will provide a unique atmosphere in the celebrated jewel of art deco design’, the firm says.

‘We’ve been expanding within our current Soho offices and have now outgrown them,’ managing partner Simon Esplen tells Obiter. ‘I’m determined we will maintain and uphold our culture as part of the move.’

Obiter wonders if Russells is alone in operating from appropriate offices. Are any ecclesiastical firms operating from converted churches, or criminal law firms from police stations? We’d love to know. Details and photos to: Obiter@lawgazette.co.uk.
