Solicitors with an interest in environmental law and sustainability are invited to join a group set up to review the Law Society’s climate change strategy. The working group will make recommendations to the Society’s governing council on its future direction.

To ensure the group includes a broad representation of the profession, the Society said it intends to allocate one seat to each of the following categories:

  • Small or medium sized firms or sole practitioners
  • Firms with a larger regional presence
  • In-house counsel
  • In-house at an NGO or charity
  • Academia or government
  • Current Law Society Council members

Applicants should submit a one-side CV together with a supporting statement (maximum 250 words) explaining why they’re suitable for the role.

Further details have been posted here. The deadline for applications is 5pm on Friday (30 October).
