Peter Causton does not say why it is wrong that women are not equally represented. All qualified lawyers are free to strike out on their own and be sole proprietors or form partnerships .

Perhaps as has been said in this thread women are opting for a less stressful life, more likely they have more common sense, are less status conscious and will not accept leonine partnerships.
