There may be truth in what you say, but tick (or untick) the wrong box once whether by design or accident and you commit yourself to a never ending cycle of calls each time your data is traded. And al stemming from one registration or purchase.

I have religiously read and chosen the best option (nobody may contact me) for years. The only thing that has helped is a random email address away from my personal one and a nonsense phone number to put in the contact details.

Yet every 3 or 4 months I get a flurry of calls.
