Some solicitors are better than others at advising their clients as to costs and liabilities - even at the RTA fixed costs end of the market. That have no dispute with.

However, these costs firms barrage hundreds if not thousand of letters of claim out, obtained from dubious sources of data, or with very limited instructions if any, with a hope to generate the next PPI muti-million pound scandal.

I applaud the commentator who has done some real life research- and so has a friend of mine.

When calling one of these costs firms - he was advised by the costs lawyer spoken to that 'it will cost you nothing so there is nothing to lose.....jut let me get you file so I can have a look'.

And shockingly the profit costs costs are paid by the (losing) solicitors....'so we will charge you nothing....and that is how we get paid'..... I think the costs firms's letter went.

Quid pro quo....or are you charging these clients £177.00p per hour?
